Raabia Khan — President. An Oak Grove alumna, Raabia joined the Board in 2019 and is serving her first term as President. She sits on the District Policy & Governance, TAB, and Insurance committees. She holds a bachelor's degree from DePaul University and a Montessori Education certification from the Seton Montessori Institute, and is the parent of four children.
Emily Savino — Vice President. Emily joined the Board in 2021 and has served as Vice President since 2023. She represents the district at Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL) meetings and is the Board's liaison to the TAG and TAB committees. She holds a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and a law degree from Emory University, and is the parent of three Oak Grove students.
Cathie DeMoon — Member. Cathie joined the Board in 2017 and serves as liaison for the Communications and TAG committees and the PTO. She holds a bachelor's degree in Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a master's in Education from DePaul University, and previously served as Board Vice President.
Kim Rihman — Member. Kim joined the Board in 2021 and serves on the Facilities and Communications committees. She holds a bachelor of science in Sociology and a certificate in Human Resources Management from Chapman University, plus a master's in Human Resource Development from Webster University.
Nuriddin (Matthew) Saratore — Member. Nuriddin joined the Board in 2023 and serves on the Finance Committee and the Ethics Commission, and as liaison to the Oak Grove School Education Foundation. He holds a bachelor's degree from Middlebury College.
Kevin Gas — Member. Kevin joined the Board in 2025 and serves on the Facilities & Technology Committee. He holds a bachelor's degree from Loyola University Chicago and an MBA in Applied Economics from DePaul University.
Laura Reutzel — Member. Laura serves on the Finance Committee and as the Board's representative to the PTO.
Meetings
The Board meets in the Junior High cafeteria unless the agenda notes otherwise. The Committee of the Whole begins at 5:30 p.m. and the Regular Meeting at 6:00 p.m.
