When severe weather or an emergency makes it unsafe to hold school, the district may close, dismiss early, or move to an E-Learning day. Student safety drives every decision.
How you'll be notified
- A phone call, text and email through the district notification system
- A banner at the top of this website
- Local media and the standard regional closing lists
Notifications go out as early as possible — typically by 6:00 a.m. on the morning of a closing, and the night before when conditions are clear.
E-Learning days
On an E-Learning day, school stays in session remotely. Teachers post the day's work and expectations, and attendance is taken online. Devices go home in advance so students are ready.
Keep your contact information current
Notifications only reach you if your information is up to date. Review your phone numbers and email each year during re-registration.
This is exactly the kind of message that should come down on its own once a closing has passed — which this site does automatically.
